Vice President Kashim Shettima on Saturday stood in for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the wedding fatiha of Halima Amira Junaid, granddaughter of the late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, and Walid Shehu Mu’azu, son of the Iyan Katagum, held in Kaduna State.
The ceremony took place at the Yahaya Road Juma’at Mosque, Ungwan Rimi, and attracted a distinguished gathering of political leaders, traditional rulers, family members, and well-wishers.
On behalf of President Tinubu, the Vice President extended warm congratulations to the couple, praying for their union to be blessed with peace, harmony, and prosperity. He also commended the families of the late President Buhari and the Iyan Katagum for their enduring contributions to national unity and leadership.
The occasion was marked by prayers offered by clerics and the presence of eminent Nigerians, symbolizing not only a family celebration but also a convergence of goodwill across political and social divides.
