A dramatic altercation reportedly broke out on Monday between social media critic Martins Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), and comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, also known as Mr Jollof.
The incident came to light after Facebook user Dr. Paul Ezikel shared a video on his page early Monday, showing the two men engaged in a physical confrontation aboard a United Nigeria Airlines aircraft travelling from Asaba, Delta State, to Lagos.
According to Ezikel’s account, the disagreement escalated shortly after boarding, leading to an exchange of blows between the outspoken entertainer and the comedian.
Both men have a long-running feud on social media, with tensions heightening after VDM previously accused Mr Jollof’s wife of being involved with internet fraudsters—an allegation that triggered heated online arguments between the two.
VDM later confirmed the in-flight clash in a Facebook post, insisting he overpowered the comedian.
In a short video, he said: “I don chop Jollof father for inside plane. He bite me—man wey dey bite.”
As of the time of reporting, United Nigeria Airlines has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
