In one of the summer’s most headlined transfers, Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen has officially completed his move from Napoli to Galatasaray for a €75 million fee, signaling a major coup for the Turkish Super Lig giants and a significant shift in the striker’s flourishing career.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed the move on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, 20th July, 2025: “Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray, here we go! Club-to-club document exchange is to start in the next 24 hours after the verbal pact. Galatasaray will pay €40m now, €35m in one year, 10% on future profit and also a goals-based bonus. Victor can’t be sold to any Italian club for 2 years,” Romano wrote.
The financial details of the deal reveal a structured payment: €40 million upfront, an additional €35 million due within a year, and up to €5 million in performance-related bonuses. Notably, the contract includes a unique clause barring Osimhen from being sold to any Italian club for the next two years, adding a layer of intrigue to the move and indicating Napoli’s strategic effort to avoid strengthening Serie A rivals.
