As Nigeria prepares to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr, the United Bank for Africa (UBA) has announced that all its branches nationwide will be temporarily closed on Monday, March 31st, and Tuesday, April 1st, 2025, in line with the Federal Government’s national holiday declaration.
According to UBA, normal banking operations will resume on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025.
Seamless Banking Through Digital Channels
Despite the brief closure, UBA reassured customers that banking services will remain fully accessible through its digital platforms, including:
- UBA Mobile App
- Leo (Chat Banking)
- 919# USSD Banking
- Internet Banking
These services will continue to operate 24/7, allowing customers to perform transactions anytime, anywhere.
Security Reminder: Stay Vigilant Against Fraud
As part of its commitment to customer security, UBA also issued a warning against fraudulent activities. The bank emphasized that it will never request sensitive personal details, such as:
- Bank Verification Number (BVN)
- Card details
- PINs or passwords
Customers who suspect fraudulent activity are advised to report immediately by contacting UBA’s Fraud Help Desk at0201 2808 800.
With the holiday approaching, UBA reassured customers that their banking needs remain covered, ensuring a secure and uninterrupted banking experience throughout the break.
