Through its official X (formerly Twitter) account, the Federal Republic of Nigeria Presidency has verified that Her Majesty Mary Elizabeth, Queen of Denmark, was received by President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday at Aso Villa, State House.

In a tweet marking the high-profile diplomatic audience, the Presidency stated:

“President Tinubu received Her Majesty Mary Elizabeth, Queen of Denmark, in audience at The Aso Villa, State House, Abuja, on Tuesday.”

In her role as Patron of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the monarch travelled to Nigeria, where she met with President Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who also entertained the distinguished visitor.

Strengthening Nigeria-Denmark ties and promoting policy synergy in areas like food security, population control, and economic diversification—all important pillars of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda—were emphasized by the audience.
