Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, owes his political survival to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who intervened to prevent his impeachment, according to All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Hon. Obidike Chukwuebuka.
Obidike asserted that Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State played a crucial role in shielding Fubara from what could have been a humiliating removal from office.
Reacting to the political situation on Wednesday, Obidike remarked: “While details of the alleged impeachment threat remain unclear, President Tinubu’s intervention has had a profound impact on the political dynamics in Rivers State. His dedication to ensuring peace and stability was evident during his recent meeting with Governor Fubara and key stakeholders, where he emphasized the need for unity and collaboration.”
As events continue to unfold, Obidike noted that Fubara’s political future remains closely tied to Tinubu’s influence, with possible long-term implications for the state’s governance and political structure.
