Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Brazilian winger Sávio Moreira de Oliveira, popularly known as Savinho, remains interested in a move to Tottenham Hotspur, despite Manchester City’s current reluctance to sanction an exit.

In a post on his verified X handle on Sunday, Romano revealed that Spurs are preparing to make another approach for the highly-rated forward after their initial bid was rejected a week ago.

“Tottenham plans to try again for Savinho after first bid one week ago. Manchester City closing doors to exit but in case of improved proposal, stance could change,” Romano wrote.

The update suggests that while City are not actively looking to part ways with Savinho, an improved offer from Tottenham could potentially alter the Premier League champions’ position.

Savinho, who has impressed during his loan spell at Girona, is seen as a key attacking reinforcement for Spurs as manager Ange Postecoglou looks to bolster his squad for the new season.

Negotiations are expected to continue in the coming days, with Tottenham hopeful of securing a breakthrough before the transfer window closes.
