Peter Okoye has drawn a line in the sand. In a very personal and emotional Instagram Live session, the Nigerian musician told fans that he no longer considers his brothers Paul and Jude Okoye part of his family.
“We are no longer family,” he said plainly. “Blood doesn’t mean anything without respect.”
It was a moment that stunned fans. For years, the Okoye brothers were known as P-Square, the powerhouse duo that helped shape modern Afropop. They had a rocky breakup in 2017, reconciled briefly in 2021, and now it seems things have broken down again—and this time, the words cut deeper.
Peter’s message wasn’t about music. It was about boundaries. He didn’t go into detail, but his tone made it clear that he’s protecting his peace. He said he’s tired of the drama, tired of pretending, and tired of holding on to something that no longer works.
Reactions have been mixed. Some fans are heartbroken. Others are supportive. But one thing is certain. P-Square is no longer just on pause. It may be over for good.
