Renowned football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, has confirmed that Pervis Estupiñán is on his way to AC Milan, as the Ecuadorian left-back prepares for a new chapter in Serie A. Using his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Romano dropped his signature “here we go”, signaling that a verbal agreement has been reached between Brighton & Hove Albion and AC Milan for the player’s transfer.
According to Romano, the deal was greenlit by Brighton chairman Tony Bloom, and the agreed structure includes a €17 million fee plus €2 million in add-ons. Estupiñán will sign a long-term contract with the Italian giants, where he is expected to become the club’s first-choice left-back heading into the 2025/26 season.
“Pervis Estupiñán to AC Milan, here we go! Verbal agreement in place with Brighton after green light from Tony Bloom — €17m fee plus €2m add-ons. Long-term deal signed. Estupiñán set to become Milan’s new left back,” Romano posted on Monday morning.
The 27-year-old Estupiñán has been a standout performer for Brighton in the Premier League, known for his pace, crossing accuracy, and defensive work rate. His performances since joining the Seagulls from Villarreal in 2022 have drawn interest from several European clubs, but it is AC Milan who have secured his signature.
This transfer is seen as a strategic move by Milan to bolster their defensive line and add international experience to their squad. Estupiñán will join a growing list of South American talents in Serie A, with expectations high for his impact both domestically and in the Champions League.
AC Milan fans have taken to social media to celebrate the news, with many praising the club’s sporting director for securing a key target ahead of the season.
