Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has once again expressed strong confidence in Nigeria’s ability to succeed, insisting that the country possesses all the ingredients necessary to achieve greatness. Speaking at a public event, Obasanjo said Nigeria’s real challenge is not a lack of resources, but the absence of effective leadership and strategic vision.

“We have the human capital, we have the natural resources, and we have the will;what we need is leadership that is focused, patriotic, and bold,” he said. The former president urged Nigerians not to lose hope despite ongoing economic and security challenges, emphasizing that meaningful progress is possible if the right choices are made.

Obasanjo’s remarks come at a time of national soul-searching, with many citizens frustrated by slow development and growing hardship. His message was a call for both leaders and citizens to rise to the moment and steer the country in a better direction.

Nigeria can still become better but our leaders are the problem. We have all the necessary resources;the people on top are just the one spoiling the country.

Nigeria can definitely succeed but there must be a change in the attitude of both public servants and citizens. Change begins with us all.
