Newcastle United have confirmed their 21-man ‘List A’ squad submission to UEFA ahead of the 2025/26 Champions League phase.

According to a statement published on its official website, the squad includes all six of the club’s summer signings — Nick Woltemade, Yoane Wissa, Anthony Elanga, Jacob Ramsey, Malick Thiaw and Aaron Ramsdale — alongside experienced first-team regulars such as Bruno Guimarães, Sandro Tonali, Joelinton, Sven Botman and Kieran Trippier, all of whom bring Champions League experience.

As permitted under UEFA regulations, the Magpies will also register a ‘List B’ featuring academy-trained players born on or after January 1, 2004. This will include Lewis Hall, Lewis Miley, and other youth prospects eligible for selection.

Eddie Howe’s side begin their Champions League campaign with a high-profile clash against FC Barcelona at St. James’ Park on Thursday, 18 September, with kick-off set for 8pm BST.
