Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has indicated on X (previously Twitter) that he will be attending and giving a keynote speech at the 8th Africa-Ireland Trade Horizon Conference, which will be held in Dublin, Ireland.

In the post on Monday, Keyamo said he is:
“On the sidelines of the 8th AFRICA-IRELAND TRADE HORIZON CONFERENCE taking place in Dublin, Ireland (at which I am billed to deliver an address), yesterday I had the privilege of touring Newcastle Aerodrome Aviation School at Wicklow, which is a County just outside Dublin, with its CEO, Mr. John Nugent. I inspected their Viper SD4 fleet and other facilities used for training. I was joined by the Charge d’ Affaires at the Nigerian Embassy in Ireland, Amb. Mrs. lbiyemi Ajiboye-Roberts.

Our discussions focused on strategic collaboration to:
Support curriculum development of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria; launch of joint pilot licensing programmes; and building of ancillary skills in engineering & air traffic control”.

All eyes are on Keyamo’s presentation and its potential to strengthen Nigerian-Irish cooperation in a post-pandemic, globally competitive environment as the aviation and trade community awaits the event.
