President Bola Tinubu has appointed Bayo Ojulari as the new Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited. His appointment was announced by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
Ojulari replaces Mele Kyari as part of Tinubu’s reconstitution of the NNPC Limited Board under Section 59 (2) of the Petroleum Industry Act 2021.

- Education: He is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he studied Mechanical Engineering.
- Bonga FPSO Experience: Ojulari led the Turnaround Maintenance (TAM) team for the Bonga Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility.
- Career Start: He started his career at Elf Aquitaine as Nigeria’s first process engineer before moving to Shell in 1991.
