FC Barcelona, popularly known as Barça, has cemented its position as the world’s leading sports club on YouTube, reaching a historic 23.8 million subscribers—a milestone that sees it surpass global sporting giants FIFA (23.6M) and the NBA (23.3M).
The club announced the achievement in a statement published on its official website and shared on X, celebrating the leap to the top of the platform’s sports rankings.
“FC Barcelona continues to strengthen its digital leadership and has reached a historic milestone: 23.8 million subscribers on YouTube. This figure consolidates the Club’s position as the number one sports club account in the world on this platform, also surpassing FIFA and the NBA,” the statement read.
This rise comes just months after Barça became the first sports club to break the 20-million-subscriber barrier in January, at which point FIFA and the NBA still held the lead. The club credited the rapid growth to the success of its Asian Tour, the 2025 Joan Gamper Trophy, and related live broadcasts, along with the efforts of its digital content teams.
In terms of other top sports channels, Real Madrid trails with 18.1M subscribers, LaLiga holds 13.1M, and Liverpool stands at 11.7M.
The achievement further solidifies Barça’s dominance in the digital sports landscape, reinforcing its status as a global brand with massive online reach.
