Renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Sam Beukema is on the verge of completing a move to Napoli, sharing a video on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday, July 18, 2025, that shows the Dutch defender arriving for medical tests with the Italian club.
In his post, Romano wrote:
“Sam Beukema arrives for medical tests as new Napoli player.”
The 25-year-old central defender is expected to sign a multi-year deal with the Serie A side, becoming one of Napoli’s key summer reinforcements in defence as the club prepares for the upcoming season under new management.
Beukema, who played last season with Bologna, impressed with his physicality, positioning, and leadership at the back — qualities Napoli is looking to add to its squad following several departures in defense.
The video shared by Romano shows Beukema arriving at the club’s medical facility, greeted by fans and club officials as he stepped out of a car, waving to the cameras before heading inside for his routine health checks.
