A high-level meeting on the Russia-Ukraine conflict is set to take place at the White House, bringing together U.S. President Donald J. Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and nearly half a dozen European leaders, alongside NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
According to a report by OSINT Defender on its verified X handle, the gathering has evolved into what observers describe as a “partial NATO summit.” The talks follow a recent summit where Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly signaled willingness to consider a NATO-style security guarantee for Ukraine. However, no final agreement has been reached, with key aspects of the framework—including its scope, enforcement, and political implications—still under negotiation.
Leaders expected to join the discussions include French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
OSINT Defender noted that the meeting will open with bilateral talks between Trump and Zelenskyy and their respective delegations, followed by a broader group session and working lunch with European leaders. The agenda is expected to focus on Ukraine’s long-term security architecture, U.S.-European cooperation, and potential steps toward a negotiated settlement of the war.
Diplomatic observers say the White House talks could mark a turning point in shaping Western guarantees for Kyiv, though the outcome will depend on delicate negotiations between Washington, European capitals, and Moscow.
