Former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has cautioned a political group he described as “ADC Vanguard” against circulating fabricated statements on social media and attributing them to him.

The warning followed a now-deleted post on X, which quoted El-Rufai as making remarks he denied ever issuing.

In a statement released via his official social media handle, the former governor said:

“Dear ADC Vanguard. Please stop fabricating statements and attributing them to me. I have my social media handles where I can make my views and opinions published. I am going to disown the statements you created and attributed not because I necessarily disagree with the message, but because I never made them. That is not the honest way to represent our party or gain traction. Please stop it forthwith.”

El-Rufai stressed that any official position or opinion he holds will only be communicated directly through his verified platforms, urging the group to desist from further misrepresentation.
