In a hopeful Eid-el-Fitr message to Muslim faithful across Nigeria, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Executive Chairman Ola Olukoyede expressed unwavering confidence in citizens’ collective ability to overcome corruption.

“Nigerians are stronger than corruption. No corrupt act can break our common resolve and determination. We have all it takes to confront and conquer economic and financial crimes,” Olukoyede stated in his goodwill message.

As Muslims celebrated the conclusion of Ramadan, the EFCC chairman encouraged them to carry forward the values cultivated during the holy month—self-denial, discipline, sacrifice, love, and purity—as spiritual resources in the ongoing battle against corrupt practices.

“At Eid-el-Fitr, Allah’s benevolence and sacrifice are greatly magnified. May the lessons of love, peace, joy, and celebration of the festival abide in us and imbue in us a greater desire to shun corrupt practices,” he added.

Olukoyede reassured Nigerians that the anti-corruption agency continues to gain momentum in its efforts to combat economic and financial crimes. He emphasized that the EFCC remains steadfast in its mission to curb fraudulent activities while promoting transparency and accountability in governance.

The chairman called on all citizens to unite behind the values of honesty and integrity as they celebrate the holiday, stressing that a collective commitment to fighting corruption is essential for building a more prosperous Nigeria.
