Serie A side Como have reached an agreement in principle to sign Swedish goalkeeper Noel Törnqvist from Mjällby AIF.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development on Monday, noting that the deal is “almost done” ahead of the January 2026 window. According to Romano, discussions are still ongoing over whether the 21-year-old will remain at Mjällby until the winter transfer window or make the switch to Italy immediately.

Törnqvist, regarded as one of Sweden’s brightest young talents between the posts, has impressed with his performances in the Allsvenskan and has attracted interest from several European clubs before Como moved decisively to secure his signature.

The move is seen as part of Como’s long-term strategy to strengthen their squad with emerging talents as they look to consolidate their status in Serie A.
