Chelsea Football Club has officially launched its third kit for the 2025/26 season, drawing inspiration from the club’s historic 2004/05 Premier League title-winning campaign under José Mourinho.

Unveiled on Thursday, August 21, the design incorporates retro influences, featuring the 2005 club badge and Nike’s classic Total 90 template, reimagined in a sleek modern look. The predominantly black shirt is accented with silver details and Game Royal blue highlights, creating a bold contrast that nods to both tradition and innovation.

In a post on its official X handle, the club announced:
“This is Total London. As blue hour falls over our city, a classic returns, built for the new age. Black and silver with a flash of blue, the badge of 2005 reborn. A T90 comeback story where history and future collide. Our 25/26 @NikeFootball T90 third kit is available now online and in the Megastore”.

According to the club, the kit is intended to celebrate London’s heritage while bridging Chelsea’s past glories with its future ambitions. However, fan reactions have been mixed—while some supporters praised the nostalgic badge revival and retro aesthetic, others expressed criticism, saying the old crest should have remained in history.

The unisex kit, priced at £80, is now available for purchase and will be worn by both the men’s and women’s teams in upcoming fixtures. Within hours of its reveal, the launch generated over 133,000 engagements across social media platforms, reflecting the strong buzz around Chelsea’s latest look.
