At Lagos House in Marina on Tuesday, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu called a meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates for the July 12 local government elections, stressing the significance of solidarity and grassroots organizing.

“Today, we hosted all APC candidates for the upcoming local government elections at Lagos House, Marina, he wrote.

Furthermore, he “encouraged them to engage deeply with the communities they hope to serve. Campaigning is more than asking for votes; it’s about showing up, being present, and building trust. I also reminded them that leadership is a team effort. They need to work closely with their vice chairmen and fellow local officials to drive real progress at the grassroots level, where it matters most.”

Sanwo-Olu reassured that the “people deserve leaders who are accessible, accountable, and committed to genuine service. That is the standard we must hold ourselves to.”

The Lagos APC is determined to increase its influence at the local level, as evidenced by the governor’s demand for strategic mobilization, unity, and committed outreach as the party approaches important local council elections.

Lagos residents can anticipate a strong push from APC candidates as campaign activities heat up, driven by the governor’s order to fulfil the party’s pledges and win overwhelming support on July 12.
