The organisers of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) have officially unveiled the nominees for the 2025 edition, celebrating excellence in film, television, and digital content across Africa.

The nominations recognize outstanding works released between January 1 and December 31, 2024. Among the leading contenders this year are Lisabi: The Uprising, Skeleton Coast, House of Ga’a, and Freedom Way, which received multiple nods in major categories, including Best Movie and Best Director.

In the acting categories, Tokunbo’s Gideon Okeke, Suspicion’s Stan Nze, Seven Doors’ Femi Adebayo, and Lisabi: The Uprising’s Adedimeji Lateef are set to compete for Best Lead Actor. Meanwhile, Chioma Chukwuka (Seven Doors), Bimbo Ademoye (Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre), and Uche Montana (Thinline) are among those nominated for Best Lead Actress.
