Aliyu Audu, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Public Affairs, has resigned from his position, citing undisclosed reasons amid growing political tension within the presidency.

The resignation was submitted on Monday and comes at a time of heightened unrest and behind-the-scenes power struggles reportedly rocking the Presidential Villa.

While Audu did not publicly disclose the exact motivations behind his departure, sources close to the administration point to escalating internal disagreements and strategic realignments within Tinubu’s circle. His exit follows a series of reshuffles and mounting pressure from various political blocs.

Audu, a visible face during Tinubu’s campaign, played a key role in shaping public narratives in favor of the administration. His resignation may signal deeper cracks in the administration’s communication strategy or hint at broader discontent with the current trajectory of the government.

The Presidency has yet to issue an official statement on the development.
