Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on Tuesday, 2 September 2025, received the State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Corps Commander Sanya Adeoye, during a courtesy visit to the Governor’s office in Ado-Ekiti.
The visit focused on deepening collaboration between the state government and the FRSC in line with the Corps’ 2025 strategic goal of reducing road traffic crash fatalities by 10 percent.
Corps Commander Adeoye commended Governor Oyebanji for his sustained investment in road infrastructure, noting that the improved road networks have significantly enhanced safety and eased mobility across the state.
Governor Oyebanji, in turn, praised the FRSC for its proactive measures in minimizing crashes and effectively managing traffic flow, particularly in the state capital. He assured the Commander that the operational challenges identified—including the need for patrol vehicles, ambulances, road signage, and other logistics—would receive the government’s attention.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of both the state government and the FRSC to safer roads and improved traffic management in Ekiti.
