The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), 115 Special Operations Group (115 SOG), Port Harcourt, has completed the 2025 Shooting Range Classification Exercise, a three-day event held from 26–28 August at the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School range, Onne.
The exercise, which is a core part of Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar’s drive to strengthen operational readiness and realistic training, tested personnel on marksmanship, discipline, and combat preparedness.
More than just a routine drill, the event highlighted inter-service cooperation, with officers and guest firers from the Nigerian Navy and other security agencies taking part. Their involvement reinforced the collective resolve of Nigeria’s security forces to work in unity and share responsibility for national defence.
By hosting the event at a naval facility and involving multiple services, 115 SOG not only sharpened the skills of its airmen and women but also reinforced the culture of jointness that underpins modern military operations.
With all participants rigorously tested and certified, the NAF reaffirmed its commitment to remain a versatile, combat-ready force while promoting synergy across Nigeria’s defence and security architecture.
