The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has issued a public notice dismissing reports that Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has been declared wanted by the Office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Monitoring Unit.
In a statement released on its official X handle, the Force clarified that the “Wanted Person Bulletin” currently circulating online is not an official communication from the NPF.
“The Nigeria Police Force wishes to clarify that the recent Wanted Person Bulletin circulating stating that the Nollywood Actress, Iyabo Ojo, is wanted by the Office of the IGP Monitoring Unit is NOT an official communication from the Force,” the statement read.
The NPF urged Nigerians to exercise caution against misinformation and to always verify sensitive security information through official police channels.
