United States Vice President JD Vance has called on billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk to return to the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, despite ongoing tensions between Musk and President Donald Trump.

In an interview video posted by MAGA Voice on X, monitored by our correspondent, Vance described the rift as a “temporary issue” and stressed the need for unity to achieve shared political goals.

“I think it’s a mistake for him to try to break from the president,” Vance said, urging Musk to mend fences with Trump. “My hope is that by the time of the midterms, he’s kind of come back into the fold.”

The Vice President also praised Musk’s role in boosting Trump’s successful 2024 presidential campaign, noting that his influence and resources had been instrumental in mobilizing support. Vance expressed optimism that reconciliation between the two high-profile figures could refocus efforts on the broader MAGA agenda.

Neither Musk nor Trump has yet responded publicly to Vance’s comments.
